The most common things kids say to me when I visit schools, is that they have trouble coming up with ideas for stories and keeping them flowing. They always seem really surprised (and relieved), to know that SO DO I.
A story plan always helps me to keep all my characters in check, so they don't go off doing other sneaky things and misbehaving.... they can be slippery little suckers sometimes.
This is a fun Halloween inspired activity for kids who love to write scary or gruesome tales. I personally prefer funny scary stories, because I am a big chicken and horror gives me the heebie geebies.
I have created a story arc with step by step details on how the kids can write their own Halloween story with little prompts, to help the green, slimy ooze flow from their imaginations.
You can download the worksheet here.
I would love to read any creations. Just let me know if I need to keep the light on at night.
Please send your stories to firstname.lastname@example.org and my favourite story will win a signed copy of 'I Love You 5 Lollipops'.
Let the trick or treating begin! MWAAAHAHAHAHA (insert creepy voice).
