I am not a fan of having my photo taken, (in fact I would rather ride a roller coaster on a tummy full of ice cream). Despite that I have met some lovely people who have been very supportive of my work, so here are just a few of the sweet things people have had to say.

Book Week 2016

Oh...My....Giddy....Aunt!

While most of my days are spent in front of my laptop, I also get to do some pretty awesome stuff like visit schools and libraries, work with other creatives or be interviewed on the radio now apparently. The lovely Shevonne Hunt from Kinderling Kids Radio has asked me, (yes moi) to do regular segments on her program about all the things I love about writing and reading for kids!  In this first segment we are chatting about the importance of Book Week and why it is just more than over heating the glue gun in a bid to construct a Book Week Parade Costume.

I was so thrilled to help out with this year's Smith Family Toy and Book Appeal for Christmas 2015. I had a ball working with the grade 6 students at St Mary's Primary School in East Malvern and our local community. Thank you to everyone who helped us collect 236 for the appeal!
